Challenge us Reserve before you fly

Reserve before you fly

Once you’ve finished placing the product(s) you want to reserve in your basket hit submit and you will see a list of all our store telephone numbers.  You’ll need to telephone the store with your reservation request and store colleagues will be able to confirm price and availability and reserve your product(s) for you. You will not be asked to pay until you collect the goods from your chosen store.

Because all ’Reserve Before You Fly’ sales take place in our stores, sales are subject to the normal in-store terms of sale, statutory rights and the Manager's discretion. Our store will sell you the goods at the reservation price or store price, whichever is cheaper.

Sometimes we have to hold our hands up and admit we have made a mistake by unintentionally publishing inaccurate information on the site (e.g. description or availability of a product you have ordered). In this instance we may have to cancel your reservation at any time up to the point you collect the product(s), even if you have received verbal confirmation.

Restrictions - age requirements and limits on orders

Some of our products have a minimum age requirement (computer games for example), and by ordering you are confirming that you are of the required age. Your age may be checked using 192.com.

Free recycling

If you have any piece of electrical equipment you want to recycle, you can take your old product into any Currys/PC World/Currys.digital stores or Megastores.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are recycling a product that holds personal data (i.e. PC, Laptop, Mobile Phone, etc) you will need to have removed the information from your old product prior to us receiving it as we will not carry out any data removal.

Benefits of recycling

Recycling unwanted electrical products is better for the environment. Lead and other toxins contained in electrical goods can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a very harmful effect on the natural habitat, wildlife and also human health. When situated near populated areas these toxins can cause problems to communities as their water and soil is polluted.

Many of the electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save natural resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending waste electrical goods to landfill.

Batteries

Dixons Retail Limited is responsible for the collection, treatment and recycling of waste batteries. You’ll find recycling bins for batteries in all Currys, Currys.digital and PCWorld stores and all of our Megastores, so that anyone and everyone can deposit their used portable batteries. Batteries we accept:

  • AA or AAA batteries
  • Batteries used in mobile phones or laptops
  • Batteries fixed to the motherboard of a personal computer or laptop
  • Batteries found in wristwatches

Sorry, we don’t accept:

  • Industrial batteries
  • Automotive batteries

If you require information on how to recycle these types of batteries you should contact your supplier or your local council.
